About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Mechanical Fitter for its Mali operation in Bamako. Steel plant equipment runs hot, heavy and continuously; this role keeps it turning.
What you will do
- Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance across plant equipment.
- Dismantle, repair, reassemble and align rotating equipment.
- Replace bearings, seals, chains, belts and couplings and set them correctly.
- Support shutdown work and equipment installation.
- Keep accurate job records and report recurring faults.
- Work to plant safety and isolation rules.
What you bring
- Technical certificate in mechanical trade.
- Two or more years of hands-on industrial fitting.
- Able to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments.
- French; shift work.
