About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring an Accountant for its Mali operation in Bamako. The role covers the full accounting cycle for the entity, from daily postings to the schedules that support the audit.
What you will do
- Post supplier and customer invoices and expense claims, matched to orders and receipts.
- Maintain payables and receivables and reconcile supplier and customer statements.
- Prepare daily cash and bank reporting and reconciliations.
- Prepare month-end schedules and support the close.
- Support tax filings, statutory reporting and the annual audit.
- Provide cost and sales information to the plant and commercial teams.
What you bring
- Degree in accounting or finance.
- Three or more years in an accounting role, manufacturing or trading preferred.
- Confident in an ERP; SAP Business One experience is valued.
- French; working English is useful.
Where you will work
Bamako, Mali, on site, reporting to the Finance Manager.
