About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Junior Engineer, Mechanical, for its Mali operation in Bamako. This is an entry engineering role on a working plant: you learn the equipment by maintaining it, alongside experienced fitters.
What you will do
- Support preventive maintenance planning and execution for mechanical equipment.
- Assist in breakdown analysis and record findings that lead to real corrective action.
- Supervise small maintenance jobs and contractor work under guidance.
- Maintain equipment history, spare consumption and maintenance data.
- Support shutdown planning and execution.
- Learn and enforce plant safety and isolation discipline.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
- Zero to two years of experience; plant internship or trainee experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on the floor, on shift, in a hot industrial environment.
- French; working English is useful.
