About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Logistics and Procurement Officer for its Mali operation in Bamako. You buy what the plant needs and get it to site, at a defensible price and in time to matter.
What you will do
- Raise and follow up purchase requisitions and orders through to delivery.
- Source and compare suppliers, negotiate price and terms, and keep a supplier record that stands up to audit.
- Coordinate inbound transport, customs clearance and delivery to site.
- Track open orders and expedite what production and maintenance are waiting for.
- Reconcile invoices against orders and receipts with the finance team.
- Maintain procurement and logistics records and report spend and lead times.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in procurement, logistics or business.
- Three or more years in procurement or logistics, ideally industrial.
- Practical knowledge of import documentation and regional customs.
- French; working English is an advantage.
Where you will work
Bamako, Mali, on site, reporting to the plant or finance head.
