About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring an IT Practitioner for its Senegal operation in Dakar. You keep the site running technically: users, devices, network and the systems the plant and office depend on.
What you will do
- Support users on hardware, software, printing, email and access.
- Maintain the site network, switches, wireless and connectivity, and escalate carrier issues.
- Administer accounts and devices under group IT policy, including joiners and leavers.
- Support the ERP and plant systems locally: connectivity, peripherals, first-line troubleshooting.
- Maintain backups, endpoint protection and asset records.
- Log and close tickets, and keep the site's IT documentation current.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in information technology or computer science.
- Two or more years in IT support, ideally at an industrial site.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and small-site networking.
- French and working English.
Where you will work
Dakar, Senegal, on site, reporting to group IT with a line to the site head.
