About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Senior Accountant for its Angola operation in Luanda. You handle the accounting that keeps a working plant honest: cash, scrap purchases, sales, and the books behind them.
What you will do
- Manage and report daily cash position and fund planning with the finance head.
- Record daily scrap purchases and the related entries, with the accountants supporting you.
- Maintain the books required for statutory and government reporting and support the half-yearly and annual audits.
- Prepare financial and sales reporting, and explain movement against plan.
- Support production planning with cost and consumption information.
- Reconcile bank, supplier, customer and intercompany balances.
What you bring
- Degree in accounting or finance; professional qualification is an advantage.
- Five or more years in accounting, ideally in manufacturing or trading.
- Strong ERP-based accounting; SAP Business One experience is valued.
- Portuguese and working English.
Where you will work
Luanda, Angola, on site, reporting to the Head of Finance.
