About the role
MMD Steel Group is looking for a Finance Head for its Rwanda operation in Kigali. You run finance for the entity: the close, the controls, the cash, and the numbers management steers the plant by.
What you will do
- Own the monthly close, the statutory accounts and the reporting pack for the entity.
- Run cost accounting for the plant and hold the cost per tonne under review with operations.
- Manage cash, banking relationships and working capital, including receivables and inventory.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting with the general manager and the operating heads.
- Maintain internal control across purchasing, stores, payments and inventory movements.
- Own tax filings, statutory compliance and the annual audit.
- Lead and develop the finance team.
What you bring
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Eight or more years in finance, including manufacturing or industrial cost experience and team leadership.
- Confident with ERP-based accounting; SAP Business One experience is valued.
- English; Kinyarwanda or French is an advantage.
Where you will work
Kigali, Rwanda, on site, reporting to the general manager with a line to group finance.
