About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Logistics Manager for its Ghana operation in Tema. Steel moves constantly: scrap and raw material inbound, finished bar and coil outbound, across ports, borders and customer sites. You run that movement.
What you will do
- Plan and control inbound and outbound transport, including port clearance, haulage and delivery to customers.
- Manage transporters and clearing agents on rate, performance and compliance.
- Own the import and export documentation chain and keep customs clearance moving.
- Control logistics cost per tonne and report it honestly against budget.
- Coordinate with production, sales and stores so trucks are loaded against real availability and real orders.
- Track fleet and third-party vehicle performance, turnaround and demurrage.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain or a related field.
- Six or more years in industrial or trading logistics, including import and export.
- Practical command of customs procedures in the region and of contractor negotiation.
- English; French is an advantage.
Where you will work
Tema, Ghana, on site, reporting to the general manager.
