About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Sales Officer for its Ghana operation in Tema. You sell steel to builders, traders and industrial customers, and you own the relationship from first enquiry to payment received.
What you will do
- Develop and service a customer portfolio: dealers, contractors, fabricators and end users.
- Quote against the price list, negotiate within your mandate, and convert enquiries into orders.
- Coordinate with production and logistics so what you promise is what gets delivered.
- Follow up collections and keep your customers' accounts current.
- Track competitor pricing and market movement and feed it back honestly.
- Maintain customer records and a visible pipeline.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in sales, marketing or business.
- Two or more years in field sales; building materials, steel or industrial products is an advantage.
- Willingness to be out with customers rather than at a desk, with a valid driving licence.
- English.
Where you will work
Tema, Ghana, with customer travel, reporting to the sales manager.
