About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a People and Culture Practitioner for its Burkina Faso operation in Ouagadougou. You handle the employment side of a plant with a large shopfloor population: hiring, records, payroll input, and the daily questions people bring.
What you will do
- Run recruitment for the site end to end: requisition, sourcing, interviews, offer and joining.
- Maintain employee records and contracts so every file is complete and current.
- Prepare payroll input: attendance, overtime, leave, allowances and deductions, and check the result before it is paid.
- Administer leave, medical cover and the other benefits the site operates.
- Support disciplinary and grievance processes in line with local labour law.
- Coordinate induction and training for new joiners and shopfloor staff.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in human resources, management or a related field.
- Two to four years in an HR role, ideally in manufacturing or industry.
- Working knowledge of Burkinabè labour law and payroll practice.
- French; working English is an advantage.
Where you will work
Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on site, reporting to the site head with a line to group People and Culture.
