About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Stores Manager for its Angola operation in Luanda. You run the stores as a controlled operation: raw materials, spare parts and consumables held, protected, counted and issued so maintenance and production are never waiting.
What you will do
- Manage all store operations: reception, inspection, identification, safe storage, issue, retrieval and handling.
- Design and maintain store layouts that are safe, findable and efficient.
- Own stock accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory, and investigate every difference.
- Set minimum and maximum levels for critical spares with maintenance, and drive down dead and slow-moving stock.
- Control store procedures, key performance indicators and cost, and report them monthly.
- Lead the stores team: manning, schedules, training and performance.
- Work with procurement on replenishment, lead times and supplier performance.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in stores management, supply chain or a technical field.
- Six or more years in industrial stores, including team leadership.
- Strong discipline in an inventory system; SAP Business One experience is valued.
- Portuguese and working English.
Where you will work
Luanda, Angola, on site, reporting to the plant head.
