About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Production Manager for the Sindia site in Senegal. You run production: the plan, the shifts, the output and the discipline that holds quality and safety while the line is running.
What you will do
- Own the production plan and deliver against volume, yield, quality and cost targets across all shifts.
- Lead the shift supervisors and hold them accountable for output, quality and safety.
- Work with maintenance to protect uptime and to make planned shutdowns count.
- Drive yield and consumption improvement: metallic input, power, consumables and rejections.
- Enforce operating procedures and safety rules on the floor, not on paper.
- Report production performance and the reasons behind it.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in mechanical, metallurgical, production or industrial engineering.
- Eight or more years in steel or heavy manufacturing production, with several leading shift teams.
- Rolling mill or steel melting shop experience is a strong advantage.
- French; working English is useful.
Where you will work
Sindia, Senegal, on site, reporting to the plant head.
