About the role
MMD Steel Group is looking for a Head of Security for its Ghana operation in Tema. You organise and run security for the plant: people, material, access and response.
What you will do
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures for the site.
- Recruit, train and supervise security officers, and manage the external guarding contractor.
- Control the security budget and monitor spend.
- Run access control, patrols, CCTV and gate discipline, including weighbridge and material movement controls.
- Plan and coordinate security for specific events and for emergency response.
- Investigate losses, theft and security incidents, and close the gaps they expose.
- Work with plant management on operational security needs and report performance.
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in security management, criminology or a related field, or equivalent service background.
- Eight or more years in industrial or commercial security, including team and contractor management.
- Investigation experience and a working knowledge of Ghanaian law and police liaison.
- English.
Where you will work
Tema, Ghana, on site, reporting to the general manager.
