About the role
MMD Steel Group is hiring a Maintenance Manager, Electrical, based in Dubai. You carry electrical maintenance standards for the group's plants: what good looks like, and whether each site is anywhere near it.
What you will do
- Set electrical maintenance standards, preventive plans and spare-part policy for the group's plants.
- Review site electrical performance: breakdown hours, repeat failures, power quality and energy use.
- Support plants on major electrical projects, equipment selection and commissioning.
- Specify and evaluate electrical equipment and contractors for group purchase.
- Build the technical capability of site electrical teams through review, training and audit.
- Drive electrical safety standards: isolation, earthing, arc-flash protection and permit discipline.
What you bring
- Degree in electrical engineering.
- Twelve or more years in heavy industry electrical maintenance, including a management role across sites or a large plant.
- Depth in HT and LT distribution, drives, PLC-controlled plant and furnace or mill electrics.
- English; French is useful for the West African sites, and travel is part of the role.
Where you will work
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with regular travel to the group's plants.
